“These Conditions (2022) was the first time I constructed a space that was a hybrid between a pedagogical space and a film set. I had over two years—mid pandemic—to research, thanks to a fellowship at the Vera List Center for Art and Politics within their As for Protocols program cycle. So I had the time to ask myself, What does bringing those spaces together mean?”
