Agency: A Thematic & Partial Tour of The New School Art Collection

On a regular basis, the Vera List Center for Art and Politics identifies a topic of political and cultural resonance, and explores it in a variety of public programs. For 2007-2008, many of the center’s lectures and panel discussions address the theme of “agency.” At the onset of the academic year, the VLC also produces a free guide of select works in the university’s art collection. This one highlights nine art works that address different notions of agency.

Produced in collaboration with students and The New School Art Collection, the collection guides provide a select self-guided tour of those works in the collection that relate to the center’s annual theme.
