Conversation with Maurice Sendak

Maurice Sendak, award winning artist, illustrator, and author of Where the Wild Things Are and In the Night Kitchen, discusses his engagement with the Holocaust and in particular his production of Han Krasa’s children’s opera Brunibar, first performed at the Theresienstadt concentration camp in 1943, and the book based on it. He also talks about the upcoming publication of the second volume of The Art of Maurice Sendak.
