“Brazilian artist Rosana Paulino has captured global attention once again and this time as the 2025–2027 winner of the Jane Lombard Prize for Art and Social Justice, awarded by the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School, New York.

The honour celebrates her bold, truth-telling art that challenges history and redefines what justice can look like through creativity. She won the 25,000 USD award, accompanied by an editioned artwork by Yoko Ono, along with a solo exhibition at The New School in October 2026.

The Jane Lombard Prize for Art and Social Justice is an international award from The Vera List Center that honours artists for projects that advance social justice through bold, artistic, and visionary work with long-term impact.
